Exploring Empowerment through Dance & Creative Movement
Throughout human history, people have practiced some form of dance as a way of altering one’s consciousness and connecting with nature, others, and self.
Dance Empowerment is a free form dance practice where participants gather to dance to music without the need of following the instructions of a leader. In this class the music, our own body, and our inner self-expression combine to take us into a flow state where we allow the frequencies of positive music to take us on an inner/outer journey of moving meditation. Bliss can be experienced in this state.
This class is facilitated in an environment without observers, judgements, posturing, attitudes, conversations, shoes, alcohol, fragrances or smoke; a space where everyone can feel safe to be spontaneous, try new things and push their edges.
This is the dance you dance when nobody is watching.
We allow the body to move freely without judgments or concerns for the “grace” or beauty of the dance, getting lost into a space of no-mind. This is a safe space to explore healing through movement without the distractions of talking or drinking which are common in social dance scenes like nightclubs & bars.
Here in this class there is no one to impress. All ages, body types, & experiences are welcomed. Our attention is focused within ourselves (not in others) so you can be utterly yourself.
Get down, let loose, and allow your emotions, dreams and prayers to dance themselves out of your energy body.
The Goddess Gathering is a monthly gathering of divine feminine energy. We meet every full moon to honor the magic & energy that the moon brings. For centuries our ancestors have been relying on the moon’s cycles to chart the seasons. Each month holds a different theme.
The month of June marks the Full Strawberry Moon. This month we will gather & dance the night away! Bring your gal pals, moms & daughters to a sacred GIRL’S NIGHT OUT! Warning: We will be shakin’-a-tailfeather to a mix of music – modern, upbeat, funky, expansive, soulful, high vibin’ fun will be had!

Friday, June 21 2024 from 7-9pm MST– come honor the full moon as well as the summer solstice with DANCE! Some Native American cultures traditionally celebrate this time with a Strawberry Dance – a ceremonial welcoming of springtime renewal of life. The Legend of the First Strawberry teaches us patience, consideration, and forgiveness. Join us!

All Goddess Gatherings are free of charge to attend however donations do help offset the cost of renting the facility and are encouraged. Typical donations are $5-$10 per person. We accept Cash, Venmo, Paypal, or Cash App.

Dress in comfortable clothes that you can freely move in. Yogawear or athletic attire is encouraged. Shoes are prohibited on the dance floor but non-slip socks are welcome. Hydration is also important so be sure to bring a water bottle full of high quality H2O. No drugs or alcohol allowed. Remember this is a safe space.
Don’t forget to bring a friend if you don’t feel comfortable showing up alone. Daughters, sisters, besties, & feminine goddess energy is welcome. The only requirement is the energy you bring must be feminine. This is a ceremony to specifically honor women, ladies, gals, girls, females & the like. No Masculine energy allowed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
